You may have heard the expression, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” This statement reflects the challenge we all face in the journey of life, moving from one day to the next. My aim is to offer counseling support that creates hope and healing for your life by joining you in your journey wherever you are. I apply a long range of training, skills, and experience to encourage growth for the journey now, and for a better life tomorrow.
I provide counseling support for children, adolescents, couples and families. My areas of expertise include: Marriage counseling, Family counseling, Police/fire/rescue first responders, Teens and children, Trauma & abuse recovery, Emotional challenges, Anxiety challenges, Anger management, Impulse-control challenges, Life adjustments, Cultural challenges, and Christian counseling.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wisconsin, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois, and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in New Hampshire and Vermont. I also hold credentials as a National Certified Counselor (NCC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), a Certified Emergency Response Chaplain (CERC), and an ordained minister with the Christian and Missionary Alliance. I hold a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselor Education and Supervision, and a Master of Divinity (MDiv). I have taught in several universities since 2009, and currently have served as Clinical Associate Professor at Northwestern University’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling online program since 2015. I remain engaged in professional research and scholarship regarding mental health counseling and supervision.
